Section 58 - A4, West Kennet and West Overton

New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 Section 58 Notice of Substantial Road Works

Three months advance notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to carry out substantial road works.
The street in which these works will take place is A4 West Kennett and West Overton, the work is expected to affect the entire carriageway of the A4 from its junction with Gunsite Lane, West Kennett to its junction with Lockeridge House North C38 to Bath Road, Fyfield.
Work is expected to commence on 17 June 2024 and the restriction will come into force on the 26 June 2024.
The works notified will include the following: Carriageway resurfacing and associated maintenance works.
Subject to the exemptions in the Acts and Regulations under it, no road or street works may be executed for a period of two years from completion of the works described in Paragraph 4 without the consent of the said highway authority, which is not to be unreasonably withheld.
