Wiltshire Playing Pitch Strategy

Wiltshire Council adopted the Wiltshire Playing Pitch Strategy (WPPS) in February 2017 following a two-year period of investigation and consultation carried out by Ethos Consulting working with officers from Wiltshire Council, Sport England, National Governing Bodies of Cricket, Football, Rugby and Hockey.  Ethos Consulting followed the Sport England methodology for this strategy and consulted with key players in the provision of sports facilities and sports opportunities in Wiltshire.

The strategy comprises of a Needs Analysis, Action Plan and Community Area Profiles.

The Wiltshire PPS Implementation Group made up of Officers from Wiltshire Council, Sport England, Wiltshire FA, The Football Foundation, Wiltshire Cricket, RFU, England Hockey and the Wiltshire & Swindon Sports Partnership communicate monthly and meet 6 monthly.
